
Dear Alumnus,
After almost of decade of steady economic growth in Lithuania and most of the other countries worldwide, economist and experts start discussing signs of recession and the end of the current economic cycle. How the next recession will look like, how well are we prepared for it, and most importantly – how to transform future threats into opportunities for our businesses?
BMI Alumni Association announces a series of events “The Next Recession: From Threats to Opportunities” to discuss these questions with experts, business leaders and economists that has announced to run for president of Lithuania.
The first event of this series will feature two prominent Lithuanian economists – Mr Žygimantas Mauricas, Chief Economist at Luminor, and Mr Virginijus Sinkevičius, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania. The event will be held at the conference hall of Courtyard by Marriott (Rinktines st. 3, Vilnius) on the 11th of December, Tuesday, from 18:00.
After the discussion, we invite you for a glass of wine, few snacks and share upcoming Christmas spirit together.
And please save the date for the second event of this series on the 15th of January. The event will be dedicated to analysing several businesses that have successfully developed and grown during a previous economic crisis.
The third event will invite you for a discussion with another economist running for a president of Lithuania, currently member of Lithuanian parliament and former minister of finance, Ms Ingrida Šimonytė.
The first event on the 11th of December is free of charge for members of the BMI Alumni Association that has paid membership fee for 2018. Fee for alumnus that have not joined the association is 20 Eur.
