It was not an ordinary Tuesday last week when more than 20 BMI Alumni has gathered to the presentation by Rasa Lapinskaitė, global Process Manager in Group Finance SEB, for the second meeting about building great processes and making processes great.
Rasa has proved to have black belt of expertise in the area while she walked everyone through her career steps working on process optimizations in pharmaceutical industry, European Lean group at Statoil and currently at SEB. Participants had an opportunity to deepen their knowledge on implementation of Lean, but also to understand the basics of Six Sigma methodology and Theory of Constrains (TOC).
It was a nice and relevant build-up of knowledge gained after presentation of Vidas Petraitis on this topic a month ago. Rasa also stressed the importance of top-management involvement and how inappropriate culture can eat the leanest strategy for breakfast.
After official part of the presentation was over, participants continued their discussions over the glass of wine about most effective ways to prepare hot dogs at leading gas station and shared their experienced on improvement of processes and quality.
The Third event will invite members of Alumni community to visit one of company based in Vilnius to get to know about the Lean application by them. Exact time of the event will be announced shortly.
