First of the meetings about LEAN – small step towards a black belt in process management

More than 20 BMI Alumni have gathered last Wednesday to the premises of Danske bank to meet one of the fellow Alumni from class X – VidasPetraitis, one of the prominent experts on LEAN methodology in Lithuania and a head of Lean.lt.

 

During his presentation Vidas has shared this view on the main principles of LEAN, historical roots and development of methodology, as well as shared dozen of examples of practical implementation in both manufacturing and service companies.

 

During the presentation and discussions participants got to understand why being brave and humble is important while seeking for higher efficiency. How to involve employees in order to gain hundreds and thousands of new ideas for more effective operations and business development.

Join us for the second meeting of the series on the 1st of March moderated by Rasa Lapinskaitė, currently global process manager in Group Finance SEB. Why not to come and hear about first-hand experience from pharmaceutical, retail and banking sectors – what works for service companies in what circumstances and what doesn’t.

 

Rasa will cove practical examples of application of Lean for non-manufacturing companies. She has Six Sigma Black Belt from pharmaceutical industry, was working in European Lean group at Statoil. Rasa has master’s degrees in Business computer science at VU and BMI, studied psychology, was teaching at ISM executive school.

 

Third event will invite members of Alumni community to visit one of company based in Vilnius to get to know about the Lean application by them.
