On the last day of February, the BMI Alumni Executive Club convened at the BMI Executive Institute for an enlightening session featuring esteemed speaker Simonas Krėpšta, a board member at the Bank of Lithuania. Simonas shared his insights on the World Economic Trends and Forecasts for 2024.
While our discussion encompassed a broader European perspective, given our roots in Lithuania, the focus inevitably gravitated towards the Lithuanian economy. In 2023, it demonstrated remarkable resilience, largely fueled by investments. Being an open economy, Lithuania's growth prospects for 2024 are heavily influenced by international trade dynamics. Nonetheless, all signs point towards sustainable growth.
And, as Simonas aptly pointed out before closing: forecasting isn't an exact science, so it's wise to prioritize preparedness.
A big thank you to Simonas for his invaluable insights!
