As the summer sport season has already kick started, more than 20 BMI alumni gathered on Thursday at the Teo office for an encounter with Ignas Staškevičius – one of Lithuania's most prominent businessmen and a marathon runner. It was all about running in a free and jazzy atmosphere.
Having already completed dozens of marathons, Ignas Staškevičius spoke about his motivation to prepare and compete in them. As a new challenge, he is currently preparing for a Triathlon, a race which adds swimming and bicycling in addition to running.
The practice of having a business meeting while jogging was born in San Francisco, according to Ignas. It's both a healthy and inspiring way to have a discussion since the brain and imagination are more effective during exercise. Some participants proposed adding this type of meeting format to the "Lunch with BMI" tradition.
Ignas presented copies of his books to several of the most active listeners. They promised to pass those on to the BMI library.
