BMI Alumni Goes Volfas Engelman. A gentlemen visit.

To end the year full of meaningful events, members of BMI Alumni were invited to visit Volfas Engelman as part of BMI Alumni Goes company visits. It is one of the oldest breweries in Lithuania, currently run by BMI Alumni, EMBA V, Marius Horbačauskas.

The small group of BMI Alumni gentlemen (BMI Alumni ladies unfortunately skipped this event), who found time for a train trip to Kaunas, were given exclusive guided tour around the brewery along with beer degustation and the story of the company's turnaround. The theme of the turnaround is similar to BMI Alumni Gala Dinner 2015 theme "Back to the roots".

Volfas Engelman did the same return to their roots. In 2011 they returned their historical name that features the surnames of the brewery founders - "Volfas Engelman". Since then, the brewery is on continuous growth path. Marius Horbačauskas, Volfas Engelman CEO, relates success of the company to the consistency and strong foundation of the corporate identity: history, name, authenticity and gentleman values.

The lesson learned is that it pays-off to be authentic both to the employees and to the customers. Still, being authentic, respecting tradition and history does not prevent innovation, movement forward. Volfas Engelman proves this by introducing limited edition GALAXY beer, that bottled in light and small aluminium bottles, can be equal participant in
gentlemen's gathering, Gala dinners, along with champagne, wine or whiskeys. Growth and profitability of the company led to new investment decisions, that in the coming years will increase brewery's capacity and further strengthen presence in Lithuanian market.

Many thanks to Marius Horbačauskas for sharing his passion, his story, for opening doors, that usually remain closed to the public. This is what true Alumni network is about! In the coming years we expect more doors opening - by BMI Alumni for BMI Alumni!
